The school
day starts at 9.00 am and finishes at 3.30 pm.
School or
packed lunch can be eaten at midday break. An excellent choice
of meals is available throughout the week which are cooked
on the premises. Special diets can be prepared as necessary. A medical dietician visits the school on a regular basis to
assess certain pupil/students' dietary requirements. Money to cover the cost of providing lunch must be sent in
each week in an envelope marked with your child's name (preferably
on a Monday morning). Payment may be made in advance for each half
term if you prefer. Please make cheques payable to Suffolk County Council. If you think that your child may be entitled to receive free
meals, please ask for a form from the school office. You can
email them at:
.
In the case
of absence it is important that parents should contact the
school on the first morning. This can be done by telephone
or by asking the transport driver/operative to pass on a message,
preferably in writing. This procedure should avoid unnecessary
concern over a pupil/student's whereabouts should they fail
to arrive at school When your child returns they should have a note written within
their Home School Diary or on a separate piece of paper explaining
why they were absent. Any absence not notified in the correct way as explained above
will be classed as 'unauthorised absence'. If you need to take children on holiday during term time then
holiday forms are available from the school office. However,
approval can only be granted for a maximum of two weeks (that
is ten school days) during the school year.
