Funding

Thomas Wolsey School is entirely funded by Suffolk County Council. Since April 1994 these funds have been managed by the Governors and the Headteacher of the school through the Local Management of Special Needs (LMSS).

Thomas Wolsey is in the fortunate position of being well supported by the local community, business organisations and the families and friends of the pupils and students.

The school's Resource Committee manages donated funds. This committee, founded in December 1994, comprises of a parent representative, a member of the Friends Association, the school finance officer, a governor, member of staff responsible for school fund, a member of the teaching staff, and is chaired by the Deputy Headteacher. The role of the Resource Committee is to manage the school fund, plan fund-raising projects and co-ordinate purchases.
